I am a philosopher and political theorist working as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. I completed my doctoral degree at The Graduate Center, CUNY in 2021. My dissertation examined the metaphysical, cognitive, and normative character of political action, focusing especially on the possibility and limits of various kinds of political action, especially its more revolutionary or radical forms.

I take an interdisciplinary approach to this topic, drawing on work in philosophy, political science, psychology, anthropology, and history to better understand the structure and function of social and political reality, the nature of the various actions that try to change them, and how the relationship between the two can help us to understand the success or failure of various attempts to transform social reality.

I am also interested in metaphysics and political theory more broadly and in the philosophy of language, especially as it relates to the social and political role of language and meaning.

In addition to my academic work, I previously worked as a legislative fellow doing policy research for the New York State Senate on election law, economic development, and environmental regulation.
